The sale of meat and dairy products is subject to stringent legal requirements. Sellers on Barnbite.ca must ensure that all applicable local, provincial, and federal regulations are followed, including obtaining necessary permits, licenses, or inspections. Barnbite.ca is not liable for any non-compliance issues or legal ramifications that arise from the sale of these products. It is the sole responsibility of the seller to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
All payments processed through BarnBite are subject to Stripe's transaction fees, which are typically 2.9% + 0.30 USD per successful transaction. Please note that this fee may vary based on your location, currency, and any special conditions applied by Stripe. Additional fees may apply for international transactions or currency conversion. BarnBite charges a 7% fee on each transaction that occurs through our platform. This fee is deducted from the payment made by the buyer before the remainder is distributed to the seller. The 7% fee is applicable to all sales made through BarnBite, whether the items are for delivery or pickup.
Sellers are responsible for covering any additional Stripe processing fees that may be incurred, as outlined in the Stripe fee schedule. These fees are automatically deducted from the payment amount before it is transferred to your connected Stripe account.
Payments to sellers are processed via Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s payout schedule. Generally, payouts are processed on a weekly basis, but the timing of funds being transferred to your account may vary depending on your account’s specific settings and Stripe’s internal policies.
Sellers will receive a payout for the previous week’s sales, typically every Monday, but this may be adjusted based on your Stripe account's settings and any verification processes that may be required. You can view your payout schedule and payment history through your Stripe account dashboard.
Once an order leaves the hands of the seller, Barnbite.ca is not responsible for any delays, damages, or losses during shipping. The seller and buyer must communicate directly regarding shipping issues.
For orders that include delivery, the delivery fee is set by the seller and is paid directly to them. In order to ensure the farmer receives 100% of their stated delivery fee, a Stripe processing fee of 2.9% is added to the delivery charge. For simplicity, this fee is rounded up to the nearest cent during checkout.
All sales are final. However, if a customer experiences dissatisfaction with a product, they are encouraged to contact the seller directly to resolve any issues. Barnbite.ca may, at its discretion, facilitate communication but is not responsible for issuing refunds or returns.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, customers may request a refund if a purchased package has not been delivered within two (2) weeks of the order date. Barnbite.ca will review refund requests and, if approved, process the refund in accordance with our internal policies. Barnbite.ca reserves the right to deny any refund request if delivery records indicate successful delivery or if the request does not meet the stated criteria.
